Business Development Managers (Job Code - BDM)
 

Nixel needs managers who can take on a business development responsibility and independently develop customers for our solutions. These would be in specific industry verticals including financial services, banking, manufacturing, engineering, pharmaceutical, construction, retailing and hospitality. You will be required to take on a specific solution or a bouquet of solutions including enterprise resource planning, intranets, customer relationship management, knowledge management and management reporting systems. You will need to then develop build a strong program to solicit and build relationships with prospective companies for these solutions, develop specifications for interested customers and take the process to the finalization of an assignment for deployment of the solution.

You should have a graduate degree in any stream of engineering and a diploma or post-graduation in management. You should have worked with a software or technology consulting company for atleast two years in the development of business and interaction with customers.

It is important that you have good inter-personal skills, are well groomed and have excellent command over the English language for both oral and written communication. You should be knowledgeable about business, markets, economic climate and the role and progress of technology in corporations worldwide and in India.

You should understand technology, software nuances and business processes. You must be able to evaluate business needs and translate them into concrete plans for implementation of software and knowledge systems.

It is important that you are able to evaluate and estimate the work involved in the development and deployment of specific systems and software projects. For this during your earlier work tenures, you should have been involved in the finalization of atleast 3 software assignments including requirements specification, estimation, drafting of proposal and negotiation of the final contract.


Nixel will be delighted to take on suitable candidates as Business Development Managers on a compensation structure that has a fixed component and a high variable component depending on performance. You will be provided with all the support you need to build databases of prospects, provide marketing collateral, make visits to customers and lead the process of building relationships and translating them into business opportunities. Your fixed component of compensation will provide a basic level of comfort while your variable component will be based on the value of orders that you are able to confirm. You will have opportunity to learn and exploit your capabilities. You will also have an opportunity to work with a great team of business developers.
